It’s important that, if I’m going for that goal… every moment I’m short of that isn’t a bad moment because I’m not there yet. It’s okay to be striving.

Do the next right thing.

Value the moments that are getting you to your goal; don’t disdain them or rush them or discount their importance.   Sometimes I feel like I spend too much time striving for unreasonable goals (and perhaps their unreasonableness is a separate issue) but I’m thinking on the idea of these moments not being bad moments.

And do the next right thing.’ What better advice could we want? What better motto?
